Big Island of Hawaii

We have created this page to provide information to residents and visitors of the Big Island of Hawaii in an effort to create a more sustainable environment and help protect the island. Our goal is to bring an awareness of the many ways each of us can contribute to this purpose, from recycling to reducing carbon output, to creating renewable energy. What each person takes from the information provided here will be different, but we hope the information will be helpful for everyone.

We are dedicated to bringing an awareness of sustainable living and earth friendly lifestyles and products to those visiting our site. Please contact us if you would like us to add any additional information to this page. Thank you for your support.

"We must not, in trying to think about how we can make a big difference, ignore the small daily differences we can make which, over time, add up to big differences that we often cannot foresee."

-Marian Wright Edelman

There are many individuals and groups on that are working to create sustainable living conditions on the island. They plan to plant native trees and food products, create energy independence, and reduce carbon output. There are also those who wish to teach others the techniques they have learned, from growing gardens to producing energy. We have provided some information about these projects on this page.

If you are an individual on the Big Island working toward this cause and would like us to list information about your project here, please contact us

Thank you.
